Professional Photographer based in Phnom Penh Cambodia

I am an English commercial, editorial and travel photographer based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, “The Kingdom of Wonder."

With over 17 years experience in the Kingdom I have worked on a diverse range of photographic assignments and genres, for local and international clients, advertising agencies, NGOs and travel publications among many.

I began taking photos at high school using a film camera and trained as a black and white darkroom printer and assistant photographer at a vintage picture library and studio in Manchester, England.

A few years on I quit my day job to pursue higher education in photographic art and filmmaking at the London College of Printing and Saint Martins College of Art and Design..

Through the 90s in London I completed several analogue 16mm film projects, with successful screenings at various long established short film festivals in Europe and the UK, including the London Film Festival and the Brest Short Film Festival.

A few years later a backpacking adventure in Southeast Asia took me on a minimalist road trip experience with a simple SLR film camera. The alluring aesthetics of the Asian tropics changed everything and I returned to photography and Cambodia in the early 2000s..

When not shooting for clients I enjoy roaming around, whether by motorbike, bicycle or walking, getting lost in the Cambodian provinces and beyond. My passion for cinema and the visual arts remains influencing my personal, travel and commercial photography.
